Default I came over to the darkside

finally ditched my nissan 300zx for a 98 camaro z28 with a 6 speed transmission today

so far the 2 things that needs to be done is the steering and speedo, the steering, when i turn the wheel to the right, it moves about 10 degrees before even turning the car, any idea what that might be? the guy said theres an air bubble in the power steering line and as for the speedo, it seem to be off by maybe 15 mph im not sure if its cause thers 17 inch rims on the car, any idea with this? i need to get these problems fixed soon.

as for the car, the guy said it has comps cams, and intake, along with the shift skip delete, the exhaust system NEEDS to be redone, he some how screwed it all up, one side was "snapped off" so he blocked it off and the other side, the tip doesnt even come out past the bumper, so im gonna go to a exhaust shop by me and see how much it would be and compare it to the ones online.

i love how the car moves but i would really love to fix the 2 problems it has now, i am a student auto tech, but i only done brakes and engine repair, so i need some help

check your tierod ends. common wear part on the front. while your down there look for any signs of damage to the control arms or tie rods. i would recomend a cat back sytem like magnaflow or borla if you can afford it. could look around for a stock one at the wrecking yards or on craigs lits if funds are sort.

373 is what i would use. even with the 6 sp the 410's make a big dent in the mpg.

alright thats good, i noticed a major improvement with gas mileage between cars, my nissan killed me in gas.

how can i tell if i do have the comps cams? i dont think they tuned it after they put them in cause it has trouble idling sometimes.

and my last question, does this car run on reg. gas or prem.?

comp cam what? lifters? rockers? cam? you need more details like what kind of rockers and cam? thats a couple of questions you need answered before you order or do a tune.

pulling the valve covers is not going to let you see any numbers on the cam. better start studing up on cams so you can get some measurements off the rockers while the motor is turning over. only thing i can think of short of taking the cam out.
