got my chick to join the f body family. we are picking up a firebird formula, ls1, all stock. the motor is bad, but we are gonna have it rebuilt by the place that did my camaro. anyways, figured while it was out throw a cam in there. but which one? nothing to fancy but definately to make it faster. any other suggestions? im new to the ls1, my camaro has a pretty nice lt1 in it though. let me know. oh its an automatic. 3.23 rear. 1999 firebird formula. any suggestions welcome but nothing to pricey

 

If you want a good, cheap cam, the LS6 might be the way to go. If you want a better cam, I would suggest the Texas Speed 228R camshaft which should add about 25 RWHP easy.

 

Head over to LS1tech.com, they have a massive guide to cams for LS1's and which ones are best to run on stock internals and whatnot.
