wats the best thing to do? buy a programmer, most likely predator, or bring it to thunderracing and have him tune it on the dyno

Are those all the mods you have done? I would save up and do something like a cam or larger injectors in conjunction with a larger MASF and throttle body to maximize the tune. But for what you have, I would recomend the predator. When you get to the more serious mods, then you need to get it tuned per application.

With those mods you don't need any tuning at all. Hand helds suck for the most part and many cars lose hp with them. Save your money and get a dyno tune when you have more mods.

It all depends on what you want out of the car. When I did my long tubes I did not get a tune, the car ran fine and had no codes. Of course with a cam a tune is a must, as for what cam, again that depends on your goals. My cam is on the big side but it is still very capable of use in a daily driver its specs are .231/.237 @ .50 and .598/.598 on a 112* LSA with 4* advance ground in. This is an older TSP grind and I think there is a newer version out. With this cam, stock heads and full bolt ons I made 393 rwhp (6 speed). Better heads would add another 40+ rwhp.
