HELLO I HAVE 2000 Z28 4 SPEED AUTO 2.73 GEARS ZEXEL TORSEN LIMITED SLIP STEEL DRIVESHAFT, MAC HEADERS HI FLO CATS,K N FILTERCHARGER, TORQUE ARM HYPERTECH PROGRAMMER 12,000 MILESDRIVEN ON WEEKENDS NO RACING DYNOED AT 400 PLUS IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT A SET OF THICK GEARS 3.73 OR 3.42 GEARS WITH OUT DOING DAMAGE TO THE 7.5 10 BOLT REAR WITH SERIES 2 CARRIER

not that I know of but there is always a chance. there have been cases of it so its not unheard of. its all luck. all you can do is do it and cross your fingers.if it destroys the housing then buy a better new one

it is typically considered a bad idea to put over 400hp to a 10 bolt. however, I know a guy w/ a '79 TA running 9s on a beefed up 10 bolt. can't remember what all he did to it though. at any rate, I wouldn't do it on less than a 12 bolt or D44 - but then again, I have a tendency to overdo things.
