I bought an SLP lid and the guy said it would fit 98-99 Camaros but today when I tried to install it the MAF sensor end was too big to fit inside the lid.
It doesnt even look like it would fit unless I went and grinded down the inside lip of the SLP lid.

Am I missing anything because all I got was just the lid itself and it doesnt have the tube on the side so I do know its for the 98-99's but is this one for a V6 or am I just missing something?

I have searched all over but cant figure out why the MAF wont fit inside.

Are you sure the MAF is stock? You can get a piece of silicone hose and a couple of hose clamps to couple it together, that's what is done when aZ06 MM Maf is used.

 

Hmmm actually not sure if the Maf is aftermarket or not but a friend was mentioning what you said, get a rubber hose and clamps. The only problem I see with that is the amount of room I have to work with between the Maf and Throttle body but if you said its been done before then it must work.
