I bought a 160 amp alternator for my 98 LS1 SS Camaro and I was wondering if I needed anything else before I install it? I just don't want to overload or wear anything out to fast. Iwas also wondering how many amps is the stock alternator making? Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Stock one is from 100-105 amps. you might need an H.O. Alternator wiring kit so the feed back won't keep the engine running after you turn the car off.
