alright guys i currently have a 98 toyota 4runner 4WD and i really want to get into muscle cars / sport cars and i think the camaro is the right car for me. my toyota right now is in great condition and has NEVER broken down or had any mechanical problems in the 8 years i have owned it. my only concern about the camaro is the possible problems i will have with the reliability. if i take good care with this car as i did my toyota should i expect mechanical problems as many american cars do? in general how reliable are the low mileage camaros i am seeing on autotrader.com and stuff. any feedback and responses are appreciated, thanks

 

In general they are very reliable when left stock. Once you start really modding them, you can't really be too concerned with reliabilty because anything can happen. They have thier little quirks, like window motors that tend to go bad, but for the most part are very good.

 

i agree as long as you are faithful with changing oil and getting all fluids BG'd you will be fine. i had a 97 camaro and the engine n tranny was strong as could be. just dont abuse it.

 

How do you change all the spark plugs on Camaro SS (2001), in particular the left hand side rear one? (#8 cylinder) From the top? From underneath the car? Any hints?

jack the car up and go from the bottom it also helps if you or a fried you get to do it has small hands
