Default 2000, 2001, 2002 - V6 or V8?

hey,
picking out my first car here, love the camaros.
i want either a 2000, 2001, 2002 camaro.

i don't know if i should get the v6 or the v8. what are these cars like as far as gas mileage? does the v8 need premium fuel?

also, what is the difference between the z28 and SS?

thanks,

The Z28 and SS arebasicly thesame car and run the exact same times. The SS is a littlemore sportey you could say with the ram hood and usaly comes loaded with the good stuff. For the LS1 i would run premium. You should pick up low 20s most of the time but on long road trips if you can keep your foot out of it and keep her at a mild speed you can get into the upper 20s. If you have the extra funds go with the LS1 you will be glad you did . The LS1 has more than 100 HP on the V6 and will pull low 13s bone stock.

if you have the means, go for the Z/SS. I like my v6 a lot, but there isn't a day that goes by where I don't wish i would have just bought a Z with high mileage instead of a 6 with good mileage. There's so many damn mustang gt's and ricers in my area its ridiculous and I wish i could just blow them away. This one kid a couple years younger then me got a 94-98 mustang gt and thinks his cars hot **** and whenever he sees me he tailgates me. It's the most obnoxious thing, he thinks he has a cobra or something.

No, V6 requires 87 Octane. which is low grade at some places, and mid-grade at others. I put in premium as a treat every now and again

If you have the money and insurance isn't a big deal then go with the Z/SS. You'll get almost the same gas milage as the 6 and you'll have a good, reliable not to mention a very powerfull car. Just don't dirve like an idiot and you'll be good to go.

you need to buy a v6 for a daily driver and a z28 for play.
