Is there any good way to see if cat(s) are plugged, short of taking them out and inspecting them?

I have the Autoxray 6000, but the 7000 would be a better choice today. If I were to get one today, I would go with a WiFi OBD adapter and use an iPhone with Rev:

are there any companies that offer something like the Rev- iphone adapter that would work for a blackberry or would that rev adapter work for an Itouch since it just uses wifi.

or rather with the OBDkey systems i see some are made to work with bluetooth but no profile types are listed as to what type of encoding i used. for general apps the obdkey system also has USB and wifi systems. i would like to know exactly what parameters they can measure with just a OBD reading from say the ECU or PCM
