Default ls1 information

someone educate me...i get PM'd occasionally asking me about ls1's and i just don't have enough info about them. anyone have some good reading material for me to take a look at?

what's the power limit of a stock ls1 block? what are the differences between ls1, ls6, ls7? ugh...any info you got about them you can post in here...thanks children!

Lol, wrong already, an LS1 is 346 cubic inches. Besides that, from what I understand the LS1 can take a little upwards of 500 hp, maybe 550 or so before it becomes physically impossible for the engine to handle its own power. Ive never seen the bottom of one to tell you for sure but apparently they are only 2 bolt mains. Perhaps someone with a little more engine building knowledge could help here.

i knew the ls1 was 346 ci...i was thinking the ls1 had like 6 bolt mains...guess i could very easily been wrong...see why i'm asking for info? lol

everyone has an ls1 or is doing an ls1 swap, its pretty lame.It takes work to make an lt1 fast.

okay...i just wanted information about them...trust me, i'm not crossing over to the ls1 side. my boy ali, i may have just found a 396 block, diamond forged pistons, eagle forged crank, eagle 6" rods for $1000...oh, the block is 4 bolt splayed...if this is legit i'm SO jumping all over this!
