New owner just traded in my 03 gt, for an 01 z28. I am very happy with it. Much more ***** than the gt. What's with the skip shift? Very annoying. BTW what's the stock hp/torque on it? Thanks guys, I'll start modding soon. Any opinions on aftermarket exhaust and intake?

this was a stock ls1 dyno from a 2001 z28 - Horsepower @ wheels: 293.40 Torque @ wheels: 317.00

 

the skip shift was made to save on gas but it does get a little anoying. you could either live with it or get an eliminator for about $30. but any ways good move on the gt to camaro switch. i just got a 2002 SS LE

 

good trade! what kind of exhaust are you looking for, i know most mustang guys get the H or X pipe and duals its Loud as hell, but annoying.. to me anyway, do you want something that loud or do you want the Straight up muscle sound with no drone?

if you want that droney, loud all the time sound than go with Flowmasters, or hooker.

if you want the muscle/throaty sound, and the max performance, go with magnaflow Stainless, random tech or Corsa stainless

as for the CAI a nice SLP hgih flow Lid and smooth bellow should be good.

 

how do the slp lm's sound on teh z28's?

 

ive never heard the loudmouth but someone told me there stupid loud. i just got the magnaflow stainless cat back and it sounds good
