Default interested in ss

im interested in buying a 1998-2001 camaro ss. i figure that it will cost between 8000-10000 cash for one in good shape with 75-95 k miles. i would like a 6 speed, and i would like leather and a sunroof. the biggest problem is someone that hasnt modded the hell out of it. what do you guys think? is this a reasonable price range.

I bought an 02 SS for a little over 17000, it had 85k miles but I had it checked by a mechanic and he said the car ran like new since the previous owner only drove it on the highway for long distances. But it was a 6-speed with leather power everything and t-tops. Personally I got a deal. And if your looking for a good camaro go for the 01-02 camaro they have the ls2 intake and a stronger bottom end then the 98-00 models

You will probably have to look for a bit to find one that is around the price range that you are looking for. Second .... they come with t-tops not a sunroof. The best thing to do is if you find one you will need to do your homework on it and find out the history on it and make sure that the previous owner did not ruff neck the crap out of it. Other then that ...........

Happy Hunting !!!!!!!!!

Hawks got a good point you'll need to really dig deep into the history of the car before you buy it. I mean hell the reason we buy these cars is to rip up mustangs and drive like a bat out of hell. I just got lucky and found an older gentalmen who had my car and took EXTREMLY GOOD CARE OF HER. But just to make sure I had it checked by a mechanic and he told me my car acted like it had no more then 30k miles. I got lucky hopefully you do too. Good luck
