Default Headers and Y-Pipe?

Right now I have Flowmaster catbacks with stock headers and y-pipe. I really want the deep muscle car sound without changing the exhaust. The idle is alright, definitely better than stock but I want to turn heads. If I get aftermarket headers and y-pipe to complete the exhaust will it add to the sound? Also what kind of headers and y-pipe should I get to go along with my Flowmasters?

If all you want is a different sound, change out the muffler. A lot cheaper and easier.

true that no muffler go striaght pipe, do this sell the exhaust u have go an get urself a slp loud mouth 1 cat back and a set of headers and a y pipe. if u want a loud mean muscle car sound that is wat u will get. or u can just go buy a good set of headers an take it to a exhaust shop and have them run u a h-pipe set-up and that will be loud as and sound good as well. how much u wanna spend is the question? iwill sell u my slp loud mouth set up when i get back to minnesota i will be taking it off my car if ur interested idk where ur from but will sell it very cheap and will out it in for ya if ya want...?

So why are you getting rid of your loudmouth? Going with something else? What kind of condition is the exhaust in? I might be interested in it depending on the price and condition. Also, if I got the loudmouth I probably wouldn't need the headers and y-pipe huh? Everyone says headers and a y-pipe with the loudmouth makes it obnoxiously loud. I definitely don't want to give the cops someone to pick on either. I'm from Missouri btw. I'll be in St. Cloud, MN in 2 weeks visiting my girl

Oh ok, I gotcha. Is the loudmouth a bolt on or weld? How easy is it to install? Did you do it yourself? What all does it come with if you sell and how much am I lookin at payin??? Also, I don't know how soon I'd want the exhaust, I'm just trying to get the facts straight before anything brother

I recently bought a Dynomax Bullet Exhaust and it sounded really nice. Loud but not too loud. Problem being is that I just installed Pacesetter Offraod Long Tubes with a Texas Speed Offroas Y-pipe. Wow is it loud now! Couldnt beleive the difference. Gets rediculous at at around 2k RPM. Im going to have to change the exhaust so if anyone is interested in mine it might be for sale soon. Only has about 100 miles on it. Dont get me wrong it sounds awsome but just too loud.
