Should probly start with a SLP Lid & a Cat Back system. I would go with magno flow but there are plenty of other brands out there that are good like borla. Then you should find some good headers & Y pipe. You may want a high flow cat also. (or you can just completely take the cat off, but you would probly have some trouble with emmisions, if you state has it)

With a good cam and head package you would easly go over 400 HP. But paying to have these installed could be very costly. With full bolt ons and a good cam/head package your car is capibly of 500HP.

btw - forget what the books say, the LS1 comes stock with est~ 350HP and about 300 BHP. GM was pestimistic with the numbers to try and seperate it from the corvette.

Heres some more info,

SLP Lid: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

Cat back exhuast made for your engine: (note: I would not get flowmaster, if you are looking for performence)
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294920008

You can get cheaper exhuast cat-backs here, but they dont have the same selection as summit does. this is the magna flow:

Headers made for your car & engine:

I wouldn't want to put LT headers with an slp lm..... that'd just wake up the whole country.... too freakish of a sound for me....

i prefer a k&N CAI, and the HP difference between flowmasters, and magna is a little as 1 to 2 horses. and the flowmasters have a lower, calmer growl, witch i prefer. its really a matter of personal prefence

Adjusting your fuel/air ratios might help as well.

Cutting a hole in the bottom of your airbox near your radiator is a cheap way getting a small amount of top-end.

Hey as far as oil goes I use royal purple. Good stuff but not cheap. $7 a quart.
