Default fusable link

Does any one know if, and where there is a fusable link from the starter to the starter relay? I have no power from the starter relay to the starter, but have good power to the relay from the ignition.

on the LS1 I think that ground location is on the strut tower near the A/C lines. I don't recall seeing a fusible link when I had mine apart, and I did need to play with the starter wires.

Ive' never seen one but I would expect there must be one somewhere. However, I've had my '98 down to the bare shell several times and don't recall ever seeing it.
