Hi, a little question. I have removed the EGR at my LS1. How can I close the hole in the Intake to which the EGR Pipe was connected?

Hey thanks. In Germany you can't find the parts at ebay . I have Long Tube Headers without connection for the EGR.

 

You need Ls1 EGR block off plates, I have no idea where you can get them. Here in the USA they are for "off road use only" many of the larger manufacture avoid them. It seem to me that who ever sold the headers would have this also.

For now you can reinstall the EGR valve, you just need to be sure the EGR valve is disconnected and can not open. The EGR valve in normally closed but if it opens without that exhaust pipe connected it will be a major vacuum leak.

 

The EGR system is completely removed.
I do not use the Camaro on the road. Only on 1/4 mile events

 

The EGR hole has to be blocked off, if you can't buy or make block off plates you need to find a EGR valve and reinstall it.

 

I know it must be closed. It is. But only provisional. I just wanted to know if there is something to buy that fits 100%. Thank you for showing me the ebay-link where i can buy the plates.
