Buying my 2nd Camaro
Tomorrow I'm buying my second Camaro. My first Camaro is a V6 and while a nice car, I want power. The car I'm buying is a silver 2002 Z28 35th edition (manual) convertible with 102k miles on it. The car has a few things done to it. Its got 19" black 5 spoke rims with brand new tires, new and adjustable suspension, sway bar, SLP air lid, complete exhaust (cant remember the brand), Alpine sound system, and its been de-badged. Its a SLEEPER! Also, its been garage kept and its VERY, very clean. Even the engine bay is ****-n-span.
Now for the problems, one long scratch in the back right quarter panel and its a convertible. =[ I'm not a big fan of convertibles but the rest of the car is so nice that I can't pass it up.
I'm buying the car from a salesman that works at a dealership but he's selling it privately to me for $10,000.
Part 2 of this story and post... This guy is concerned that he can get fired/in big trouble at his place of employment cause he's selling the car privately. He bought this car from his place of employment 3 months ago and fixed it up with all the pre-mentioned things. Basically flipping the car. Anyone have opinions on whether or not he could get in trouble about this. I don't want him to loose his job, but I want that car!
If I am to get this car tomorrow, I need to ask a few questions about a few subjects. With rag tops, are there any special precautionary tips I should take into consideration so that I can keep this in tip-top shape? Also, I notice that some convertible Camaros, when on the highway or at highway speeds, the ragtop deforms a bit after the windshield. Is this normal and on all camaros or is this some poor care and preventable disease.
Well I forgot the other question I was going to ask about the Camaro but I'll leave this up for views and post back when I remember it.
