Default best headers for money

looking to throw some headers on this winter. Was wondering what u guys are running, and the diff in price and power between them. i have full slp exhaust feom y pipe, so should i just go with the slp headers? im, looking for a good quality built pair and i know slp is tops for that

Eh, SLP headers have gotten some real bad reports. Supposedly their new headers have been redesigned but they are no better than ARH or Kooks. All the longtube headers will make similar power, so no real worry there. If you can afford it, go stainless steel, but at least get ceramic coated ones. TSP has stainless steel 1 7/8" headers for a little over $500. BBK makes nice ceramic coated ones for $500 (also includes a y pipe too).

yeah, i was deff going to get ss headers, i dont mind spending the extra cash on it, just as long as they are quality made, like good welds,as such. I know a friend of mine had a new set of headers on his 96 firebird, not sure of the brand, but after 6 months of running them, the weld near the flange and tube cracked. So i guess as long as they are quality made, thats kinda what im looking for

I'm getting the TSP ones once I can afford it.

Best quality is probably going to come from ARH or Kooks. TSP makes a good cheap stainless alternate though.

What I like about the TSP's are they are 1 7/8's at 1 3/4's price.

Kooks or ARH are the two brands I'm seriously considering and stainless steel (which is a must if you want them to last and not rust out quickly), also see LPP or QTP for lower priced stainless options... SLP's are supposedly good, but hang a bit low...
