Default Best cost effective air intake 00 Z28

Hi,

Newb here. I did searches. Didn't seem to find anything that showed best pricepoint for hp. I'm deep into a 750 hp build on my Typhoon, but I wanna free up a little air for my new DD. The stock setup is a joke. I'm ok with a kit, or making my own from silicone intakes. Or just a filter if hp gains are next to nothing. Everyday I move forward on the Ty, I end up ordering 200 worth of parts. Like everyday. So I just want this Camaro running right now till I get the Ty done. Anyways, any help is appreciated. Thanks and cheers.

I ground down the fins from the air intake cover and heat glazed it with torch. you can also make the opening larger on the bottom to allow easier air flow but I figured with 3.8 its not gonna do anything. the gains on a stock setup are not that much using slp kit so I just did this. couldn't tell if it made a difference because I was switching engine (series 3 3.8) and exhaust (mid length headers) so can't say much on that end.

I guess I'm going to order a slp lid and cut out the little piece under the filter. And get the slp filt too.
