ARH Stepped Headers & Catted Y Arrived!
Have you installed the headers yet? I'm about get a set of pacesetters and a tsp catted y for my 98 just have to wait to put tires on the car first. Then move onto a cam swap and a ls6 intake
^ I will be in the next couple weeks, the last part to my exhaust upgrade arrived today! Change of plan, since I may be doing heads, cam and intake upgrades in the future, or possibly a power adder, I am holding off on the dyno tune and will instead get Speed Inc.'s basic tune since they estimate I would only be leaving maybe 5 HP on the table vs. their full dyno tune...
This NoWeeds diverter is some badass hardware! Only double butterfly on the market, and presets from the driver seat! http://noweeds.net Originally saw it at Nickey Chicago and knew I would be getting one! 5th Gen Camaros get two since they have true duals.

Houston, we have headers! Good thing I replaced the motor mounts, they're starting to deteriorate w/104k mi. (will post a photo later), although still not terrible -- this was the time to do it, less work with the exhaust out.
Noweeds diverter is getting installed today, and adding 1LE Moog rear LCA bushings too. Work is being done by Midwest Muscle Cars -- a family run business... http://www.midwestmusclecars.com/ Without a lift, I didn't want to do the install myself...

How well did the headers fit I read good things on American racing headers. I haven't bought mine yet for my 98 so still looking at options. Are you still running emissions or are they race headers?
^ Fitment looks real good, but proof is in the driving around and not getting any rubbing or noises, crosses fingers... That said, LS1 Camaro fitment is all very tight -- nature of the beast, mine is also a convertible, so it's slightly different from a coupe... These are off road headers, as I was advised by ARH that many tend to have issues with the AIR fittings stressing and breaking, so I opted not to get them. AIR is just for emissions with no other benefit, as I believe EGR is as well -- which is what you have in a '98...
One reason I went ARH over Kooks was the ARH Y-pipe has a merge, and the Kooks one is just two pipes sliced together which to me is crap in comparison to their headers.

Well the air isn't even running when testing. It only kicks on when the motor is cold, that's what I get from reading posts at ls1 tech yeah 98 has egr but I'm putting a ls6 intake on so on getting to if the egr as well. Yeah I heard fitment of arch yours are good they don't hang low like a I've heard of the tsp one. I have to run cats since the car still has to go thru few testing but all they do here is plug in the scanner and check for cats. They don't care where at just have to be present.
Did your y pipe come with the rear o2 bungs? I was planning on just getting mine tuned out because I've heard with headers the rears will always kick the sea light on or are emulators?

You do want cats, IMHO, they make the exhaust sound better and not raspy. Here's another couple shots...
