Cool ARH Stepped Headers & Catted Y Arrived!

Well my American Racing Headers 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 Stepped Headers & Catted Y-pipe finally arrived for my '01 SS! There is one more piece to the puzzle coming soon (hint, it's from Noweeds)

Thumbs up

Ok, no more tease photos -- now for the meat and potatoes

Closeup, see the 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step:

If you look carefully, you can see the velocity spike in the center:

Looks good. Are you going to dyno the car before or after?

^ Yea, planning a dyno tune at speedinc.com

Also got new GM motor mounts, MSD Wires, NGK Plugs, Stage 8 Locking Header bolts, and GM MLS header gaskets too.

Still waiting on the Noweeds.net diverter... Gonna be sweet.

Good deal. If you don't get a tune from those guys, I'd recommend Frost. He did an excellent job after I did my headers.

^ Yea, except live dyno tuning is more accurate...

Here's the other goodies:

Of course it is, but definitely depends on the tuner.

Good call on doing plugs and wires now

Looks good! I also run stepped headers on my Firebird, mine are Edelbrock's though. It will be interesting to see what numbers you put down, I made 351RWHP and 365 FT-LBS.

With a street tune, mods are:
SSRA
K&N filter
SLP lid (now blackwing)
P&P TB on LS6 intake (stock since it's an '01)
MSD wires
NGK TR-55 plugh
Edelbrock Stepped headers 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" with 3.5" collectors
Edelbrock 3" ORY
Hooker Aerochamber catback

Here is a video of the 3 pulls.
