I have a 5.3 LM7. the drivers side of the engine near the oil filter is what I think is called the oil cooler adapter cover. I'm replacing the gasket and noticed that the original was a metal gasket with silicone or rubber around the inner port. The guy at NAPA gave me an all-metal pc with no silicone on it (Felpro #72435). I'm kinda skeptic on using this but he said that it is the replacement to my original. My question is have you guys used this type with no silicone? should I return it and try somewhere else or will this work?

 

This gasket came with my Valve Cover Gaskets. I didn't know what it was.
