RE: 275 nitto question..
Did you order the Nitto N555R drag radials or just regular street tires? If you ordered the radials you will be pleased I put them on my car (02 SS) last month. I have not spun once at all even when I floored it from a dead stop on an old country road. ASR was off too. On the strip lower the tire pressure and you will do great. Be careful in the rain though they will slip on you. The street tires should be about the same as the stock ones I guess.

honestly they are more like a street tire than a drag radial, i havnt had any problems with them in the rain and i can spin them really easy and have to smoke them up for about 10 seconds for them to stick to the track
my next set of drag radials will definatly be the mickey thomson ET street radial

RE: 275 nitto question..
No my car is not unpowered unless you mean stock. I dynoed when I got it at 308 rwhp so from what I can tell it is about right. And if I was underpowered I wouldn't be slipping in the rain. And when I tried to spin them I had been driving awhile so they were warm and I drive on them at 20 psi all the time. What is air pressure at for daily driving? In the rain with a lower air pressure I might not be treading water like I would be at a higher pressure. If the tires are cold then I can slip and maybe the track where I am at is in better condition than yours is. When I ran they had just tarred the staging lanes.
