Default 2001 vs 2002 Airbox difference?

Anyone know what the 2001 SS vs 2002 SS airbox difference is? An article here claims it is new for 2002, and implies it adds 10 HP over the 2001:

The full article is here:

So is the HP 335 for the 2001 SS w/SLP Dual-Dual Performance Exhaust System w/hood scoop and airbox?

TIA!

Total BS! Obviously these guys are tards! All LS1's make the same HP, whether in an Fbody or Vette. GM purposely underated the Fbodies. All make about 290-310 at the wheels and 345 at the fly. There is no difference between airboxes, they claimed in the article that the SS and Firehawk get a true dual free flow exhaust system. Riiiiight. They also tested the V6 versions, the RS and the Firebird GT! And those cars had all the SLP options as well INCLUDING a dual-dual exhaust which all together added 5hp. Wow, on a V6?

These are clearly rice guys who looked at some articles over a span of 30mins, and got 95% of their info from their rice buddy friends who know all about racing.

Yup, it's BS. All 01/02 LS1's make the same power. Ratings don't mean squat with these cars.

Ok, so what about the SLP airbox vs. the stock '01 SS stock airbox? Any real difference in HP? SLP claims they have optimized the design for 12 HP (but is that above the stock SS one?)

They are supposedly currently going through a slight redesign to optimize it even further...

Yeah, after market ones even compared to the ss one which I don't think is different than the Z28, do offer a bit more power. But they are all kinda the same in the power department. So that being said, you have a few choices, like the Whisper, slp ....etc. Also do the free ram air mod if you plan on keeping the airlid set up. Otherwise....

I personally have the volant system. With it I put a rubber coupling (fernco) and added a 85mm maf. With the Volant I feel comfortable enough to descreen the maf, but not with any airlid set up. So my set up flows through about 3 1/2 inches wideof uninterrupted airflow to the TB. It costs a bit more, but has the best airflow compared to any lid set up. And I can feel a real difference. Just an idea though.
