i have a chance to buy what he said is a 1979 z28 for 800.00. it has a 350 with high rise intake and 4bbl carb needs valve seals and some other odds and ends. but runs good. how do i tell if it is a true z28. it looks like its been repainted cause the decals are gone. what do i look for. it still has spoilers front and back what else?

 

Wheels, Hood, check the VIN (but I don't know what numbers to look for) Steering wheel says z/28 on the horn button.

 

i think there is a plate welded on the radiator support like with the 3rd gens that would say Z28 someplace on it
