No big whoop, cut the muffler out and weld a pipe in its place, or if you are feeling sporty, just cut the muffler out.

You can remove the muffler but I really wouldnt. Yes it will be loud and scary to all those rice burning retards around your town, but it wont be a good loud... but more like an obnoxious loud. Having some form of muffler would give it a better sound. But if you really want to do it, then yeah... just cut that crap outa there and throw your muffler at some guys Honda. Tell him your car did it... because z28's are just so damn aggressive. Then point at your car and say "Bad z28! Bad. You get back in your garage. No street racing for you tonight." Dont worry... its just a lie. Once the kid goes back to his house you can win... I mean race all you want.

Or you can replace with a Magnaflow muffler, I seen they make a hollow muffler for a more aggresive sound, Also Borla makes a real nice muffler that you can remove the plates from inside to make it hollow, Or you can put them back in to quiet it back down.
