What do you think the chances are that someone would put a K&N sticker on a stock intake?

Because since I bought my camaro, it has made this whistling noise everytime I get it into the higher rpms. After looking around a bit, I come to find out that this sound is fairly common with cold air intakes. So I pop the hood, and the remnants of a K&N sticker are holding onto the intake. It's kind of like getting a free modification, becasue I always thought it was totally stock.

The chances are very good. its a fairly inexpensive and easy mod to do.

 

Putting stickers on a stock intake is an easy mod to do. Stock intake and K&N intake are quite different. You should be able to tell the difference.

 

take a pict of the intake then wfe can clear that up for you

here's a stock one, if it looks the same then it was just a sticker. you should be able to tell the difference.

jackasses do this stuff all the time. is there at least a K&N filter in the stock filterbox?
