Default true dual vs gmmg

which do you guys think is better for a catback? a true dual system or gmmg, those are the two i have been leaning towards. i have heard many sound clips on ls1sounds but i still dont know what i want. I know gmmg is quite pricy, but also seems to be the best. On the other hand, the sound of true duals sounds awesome and btw how much would it cost to do it dumped?

I'm not an expert on the topic, but from what i understand true duals is the best flowing setup you can get. Although unless you plan on putting down some serious horsepower, it's really not necessary at all. Most quality catbacks are durable up to around 500rwhp. As far as GMMG goes, it is considered to be one of the best, but is also very pricey. I just run magnaflows so i couldn't tell you i've heard it in person, but on ls1sounds.com they sound pretty damn good. A lot of people avoid gmmg though due to its price as some of the more inexpensive catbacks sound great with Lt's and an ory. If you got the money then it's your car obviously, but i know if i had cash for that kind of setup i'd just by a cheaper system and put the money into other parts of my car. But if none of this concerns you and you just want the most badass soundingexhaust regardless of money, true duals sounds best imo.

As far as prices for true duals go, it depends as most of the time this is a custom built setup so it can range.

If you want to do a true duals setup you're going to want to dump them before the axel. www.texas-speed.com sells an X-pipe that dumps before the rear axel. If you want to do a true dual setup you're going to have to get Long Tube headers to get any real gains out of it. As Bzman said, most cat-back systems are more than what the average person needs. The GMMG system sounds good, but it is pricy, most of that is a question of how big your wallet is.
