Default true dual help

so i went into a performance muffler shop today to get true duals put on my car (01 ss). the owner told me it can't be done. which i know is not true considering theres many camaros with true duals. how do i convince him how to do it? and to top it off, he tried forcing flowmasters on me [:'(]

It can be done but it's not easy nor is it cheap to have a full custom true dual system installed. You can get long tube headers, purchase an X-pipe and dump it before the axle, that's the easiest way, but you don't have the visual of tips out the back. Why do you need true dual anyway? You can handle ~500+ HP on a good LT header, 3" Y-pipe and cat back setup without having to spend the money on a full custom job.

ok thanks for your help. i hear that true duals are the way to go if you're planning on doing a lot of performance upgrades. whenever i say something about getting exhaust done, mechanics and friends always say to do true duals. price isn't too much of an issue either because i'm friends with the owner of the shop...

Yes, it can be done. Show him the pictures from this thread. It may give him an idea or three.
