SLP intake on v6...
one day hopefully years from now when the v6 craps out, i want to put in an ls1...for now i wanted to add on anything that could help out a little bit now with the 3.8 and then still be used for the v8 later on if i still get it..... so fari just have the exhuast upgraded....i'm not looking for extreme performance boosts out of anything right now.... but i was wondering if the slp flowpac cai would fit the 3800 in a 2000 camaro. slight modification wouldnt be a hassle...has anyone done this? and also does anyone know what kind of power is gained by adding on that cai with exhaust? annnnnd is there any other route to go to help get a little more power out of it that could also be applied to a v8 later on?i dont want to waste money onsomething thats only going to getupgraded againat that time..thanks

RE: SLP intake on v6...
I don’t think it will but it may be possible. There are a few good intakes out there for the 3.8 a friend had one on his automatic 99 with flow masters. I installed it for him and I can say the car did fill a little more responsive with it im not sure on horse power numbers probably only 4 or 5 at the most. It does sound good and you can here it suck when he gets on it.

RE: SLP intake on v6...
Yes the slp flowpac will fit in ur car... there is no difference in the radiator support or lower airbox between the 3.8 and 5.7... so u would be able to throw the flowpac in... however, there is a difference in the air box lids between the two.... on the v6s the air box lid outlet is off centered to the drivers side and the v8s airbox lid outlet is center.... therefore the slp lid for the v8 would not work for the v6 w/o further modification...
