I just purchased a 1979 Camaro and it has after market mufflers on it. The only thing i know about the mufflers is the ( i.d.) number on the outside of the mufflers. I was wondering what is the best way to find out what kind of mufflers they are? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

well you can just type that number in a google search. If no mufflers come up, just start listing different brands in front of those numbers (ie hooker xxxxxxx, flowmaster xxxxxxx)

or you can go to a parts store and see if they can do anything with that part number.
