Most mid-length headers are just a cover-up for shorties. On our cars if you don't have to get a new Y pipe it's a shortie. Technically Mid-lenghts would have longer tubes, but not have a full collector like a long-tube. If you link the headers I can take a look and give my opinion, it's also possible that they try to get more bends into the tubes to get them longer over a standard shortie, but as I like to say "go big or go home."

Link them up and I'll take a look though...

looking on Summit's website, the first dozen or so sets I looked at (I stopped looking after that), for a Chevy, were all shorties

i know for mustangs, the midlengths actually have longer tubes, but the distance between the collecter and the bracket is the same. so in effect they are just adding more spaghetti to a shorty header. supposed to give u better gains.

I have never purchased Pacesetters for my own cars, bu my experience with the few people that I know that have put them in their second gens, have been very unhappy with their quality and fit and I have to agree

also from word of mouth, not knowing their real situations(but we all know what that's worth), I have heard a lot of bad things

just my two cents

I'd have to agree with 1969 SS on this one, unfortunately I think the only other options are extremely expensive for the sixxers...

ya other than pacesetter all v6 headers are pricey and the fitting on 4th gens is supposedly far better than any other camaro

I've still heard horror stories from Pacesetter headers on the LT1, apparently they did a better job on the LS1 headers, but I sitll wouldn't expect anything of Kooks quality Another consideration for V8 cars is the primaries are only 1 5/8" which you can outflow with a 350 (1 3/4" is the optimal primary for a 350 unless you're pushing some major HP or RPM), but for the V6 that shouldn't be an issue. If you have the $, go for it Nic! But go for the "mid-length" ones with the new Y pipe.
