Default Looking into exhaust...

So, I'm looking into exhaust for the car... Thinking about headers and an off road y.. Just not sure of which yet. It's been so long since I've actually looked around that I hardly remember anything anymore..
I wouldn't mind long tubes, but probably won't have the clearance... Don't have to worry about cats though, I don't want em..
I was thinking maybe some mid-length headers... I'll be keeping the magnaslow catback, at least for now.. I don't really want to spend way too much.. so I might just wait depending on some prices. Any suggestions/thoughts anyone?

well if you dont think you will have the clearance for long tubes, go with midlengths and an off road y pipe of the same brand to match it.

Is your front air-dam scraping? No? Then you have the clearance for long tubes!

Honestly, if you get a good long tube that fits well your ground clearance may drop by 3/4 of an inch in the right behind the front wheels, but that's going to be about it. My collectors on my headers have about the same clearance that I had with the stock cat, and my high flow cats hang just slightly lower than that. Unless you drive over some massive speed bumps every day, go big!

lmfao..
worst case scenario, I hit a big bump in the road, break a bolt in the head..
Like that isn't a horrible thought. lol... but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to me.

Occasionally my front air dam does scrape though, just barely.. Depends on if I have friends with me and which end of the driveway I pull into, no kidding. If I don't do it just right, I'll barely scrape.
If I need to sacrafice the other half of my driveway, I'm cool with it. and speed bumps FTMFL. I can usually avoid them..

My air dam scrapes on some driveways too, but I very rarely scrape my exhaust. It only happens over speed bumps that roll Civics...and once it happens to me once at that place, if I can't avoid it, I drive over them almost sideways...

anybody have any suggestions? i've been thinking about different header brands, havent decided much yet. except that the slp tuned length are probably the strangest looking headers i've ever seen... passenger side anyway. lol

But i want something that i wont have to mod much if any to fit.. egr, air, etc. And something that will bolt up to a decent ORY as opposed to one that sucks. I'm not really sure because I don't get much time to check them out.. usually busy. Flowtech looks decent but i haven't really heard any "reviews"... The SLP tuned length claim to have pretty nice power gains, but that doesn't make them true..

if interested in the slp tuned longtubes, i have a brand new set with the y-pipe and all the hardware needed to install. i bought them for mine but sold the car now i have the headers and y-pipe and nothing to put them on. i tried to return them but i had them for to long. i'll make you an unreal deal if interested.

Honestly you cant go wrong with Pacesetters and the Ypipe. Install is about as easy as it will get, you get the power and if you get the ceramic coated ones, they will last. And they have as good of a clearance as any. Plus they are inexpensive!! Honestly the best bang for the buck LT's out there. You can sometimes find everything including Ypipe for like $430-$480 shipped! Depends where you go and what type of deals are going on
