Default intake question

i keep hearing that you can cut the baffles out of the intake if you dont want to put cold air intake on and i am thinking about doing that but i am not 100% sure where the baffles are and how much to cut out so i was wondering if anybody had a picture of the baffles to show me where they are.

You can remove the baffles or by a aftermarket lid. Whisper makes a lid for the V6 its around 130 bucks.

So I've been reading threads about CAIs and this type of mod, looking to make a decision on which way to go with my '93 Z28.
Is the consensus that this mod with a K&N filter is just as efficient and less expensive?
I really don't care about the bling factor or bragging rights of having the CAI if this works just as well.

Having a CAI is going to help you at higher speeds and with your top end horsepower and is generally more efficient with a ram air hood...its really up to you..

Well I won't be changing hoods and the car is to be a daily driver not a racer so it sounds like the best bang for the buck is this mod in my case.
Later I may add a set of headers and a mild cam etc. but I don't want to go overkill, just a nice driver is what I'm after with this car.

No. Just make sure it is all clean and debris is picked up afterwards.
