Default headers

What headers can i get for my 84 305?I dont want huggers and i want some that are spaced out like the stock exhaust. It's a pain now getting to the last two plugs on the passenger side(one above the starter, thats the real b@*ch and the one in front of it). Most people i know have the Hookers, but they are real close to the block(huggers).I didnt know if they have one that has about the same clearance as the stock ones. Thanks for any info. Also will it be a direct fit to the stock exhaust?

Default RE: headers

Most headers will match up to your exhaust. You can find headers for you car just by using any serach engine and typing - Headers for Camaro - I did that on Ask Jeeves and got hedman headers, jet-hot, race.com and hotrodders, all places that have lots to choose from.

On the3 hedman Headers page, http://www.hedman.com/pages/hedmanmain.html, if you follow through a few simple decisions ("Street Headers, Chevrolet, Camaro" you get to a chart of Camaro headers. They have a number for you car - 1 1/2 or 1 5/8 inch tubes with 3" collectors, long or short tube, and all sorts of footnotes you will have to sort through - some for D port heads, others not, some for alum. heads, etc.

You can check other places, too.

Generally, headers are NOT designed for the convenience of working on the engine, but they will not make it impossible for you to change plugs, etc.
