Default Header wrap.

I've heard that it's not good to wrap ceramic headers, but will it have an effect on painted ones?

before anybody gets offended, this is what i've heard.when you wrap the headers, they are supposed to flow better because of the heat that is trapped inside the header because of the wrap.the wrap also makes it easier to change plugs because of less heat.i've also heard that the wrap holds moisture and tends to cause rust.it takes alot of the heat out of the engine compartment.i would do it,so what if they rust out prematurely.i think the gains out weigh the losses.jmo

Header wrap on street driven car will result in moisture build up rusting the headers, On a strip only car no problems and are advantvage holding heat down.[sm=gears.gif]
