Default Header Suggestions

Hello, I am very new to this forum and would like to ask you all suggestions on headers.
I currently have a 95 z28 with K&N CAI, Flowmaster Exhaust, TB Airfoil, 160 Thermo, and Underdrive pullies... I would like to know suggestions for the best type of headers for this setup. I live in Wisco so I do have emissions and would like to keep the stock cats, at least for now.
I'm looking for performance for a good price.

Well, if you want to keep the cat I'd go for the Edelbrock TES. You can't get a good LT system without replacing the cats. On the other hand, if you do go for a LT system, you can go up to 2 high flow cats. The big thing is, if you get shorty headers to keep the stock cat location, make sure you get a good mandrel bent Y pipe too, because the headers won't help you without a new Y, the stock one is much too restrictive.

I need to keep the cat and don't have the money to upgrade to a high flow cat yet... Would you recommend waiting and get the headers and a high flow cat at the same time? I guess I was planning on keeping the stock cat and just upgrading the headers - what would you recommend?

Overall I'd recomend waiting and saving up for a good emissions legal LT and Y-pipe/cat setup. In my opinion, if you're in there taking off the old system, you may as well replace it with something that never needs to be replaced again, so save and get the best. Once again, if you must keep the stock cat, get shorties and a mandrel bent Y pipe. The shorties will be a waste of money without the new Y.
