Im about to buy some headers and dual exhaust for my 78, I found a set of hooker headers with a dual exhaust kit on jegs for $500 bucks.

I dont really want a really loud sound just a good rumble. Any suggestions on a brand I should buy?

 

That should be just fine I would think. I bought a pair o summit racing headers and added one of ther header back systems. It's true dual all the way back with no cats and it's nit all that loud, you can have a conversation easy in the car with the windows down going down the road.
