Default Exhaust Tips

Alright I have 2.5" duel cat back exhaust, im looking for slash cut stainless steel tips, since the pipe is 2.5" the inlet on the tips must be greater, correct? After looking around online it seems like they have 2 1/4, 2 1/2, and 3". So since the other two sizes wont work would 3" inlet work? Im talking about bolt on not welded, just and FYI.

Thanks,

Tim

your sig says you have 3" dual catbacks, might want to fix that, as for the tips, i would go with the same size (2.5") and get a pipe expander, it fits into the pipe you want bigger(tips) and it expands, if your not very good with one, i would suggest just taking your tips to a muffler shop and ask them to open up the inlet an eigth of an inch or so, and use stainless C-clamps to clamp them on there(regular steel would rust on your tips), if you go too big than you will have to weld them and will have a hard time.
