Ill tell you what i did i guess. i also have a 3rd gen. first of all i bought headmans long tubes. put them in yourself to save money. to do that, i had to lift the motor, along with dimpling the header to fit near the starter, i took out the brake booster and master cylinder, and also the wiper motor. to lift the motor jsut put a jack under the oil pan with a piece of plywood in between. that should pretty much do it unless you have AC which would take some more finageling. putting the heads in yourself will save you about 300 dollars. for mufflers i chose 2 moroso spiral flows and an x-pipe, but dynomax came out with an ultra flow that is a muffler and x-pipe combined, if i had known i would of got that instead to save money. i had a custom exhaust shop run true dual 2.5 inch exhaust, both pipes running down one side. i bought the mufflers and headers, and installed the headers, and it cost me 800 dollars with mandrel bent pipes. sounds unbelievable and oit restriction free. if you dont want to go all out, you can get borla catback or magnaflow cat back, or jsut throw a flowmaster on there.

azzn, when purchasing a mustang, you have be careful. first of all the distributors are in the wrong spot. most of the time its not worth the money to get it put in the rear where it supposed to be lol.

Probably easier to turn the Stang engine front to back, but then the water pump will be in the wrong place.
