Please bare with me through this. Read it all before you get mad.

I have an 83 s10 blazer... It has the 2.8 liter engine... The SAME engine as the camaro in this year range.

I have busted exhaust manifolds. I managed to get the left side off a website. NO parts store seems to carry or can order the right side (passenger side). Chevy discontinued them <cricket chirp> and junk yards selling me a used one can put me in the same issue 3 months down the road.

The camaro manifold is said to maybe even have a hole in the manifold for a sensor that can be plugged (oh well then I can plug!).


So if anyone knows where I can get a 2.8 liter v6 camaro exhaust manifold for years 82-84 (firebirds work as well).

Also I rock the iroc wheels on my blazer (if it makes it that much more okay for me to post here)

Iknow a chick that had the 2.8 v6 maro, she constantly had trouble with her exhaust manifolds, so it may be a fairly common thing, in my opinion save up for a 4.3 v6 vortec, or an LT1 and swap it in with a 4l60e trans and youd be golden.

 

Hmm I was kinda liking the little engine gas mileage. If this problem occurs alot you'd only think Chevy would keep manufacturing these parts...
