I'll let you all know as I bought one of those chrome units for the 95 z28. It's going on this weekend. I figure it will be better than the stock airbox and i was looking more for the chrome look under the hood. i bought the one with the K+N filter.

Just a little nostalgia here. before, we would change the intake manifold (sometimes the cam)and carb and hook up custom dual exhaust(translation: flexible pipe, lots of gaskets and clamps)to accomplish what can be done in a couple hours with bolt ons. Also, 60's and 70's cars had pathetic exhaust manifolds so headers were always in order and you had to cut fender wells to get them in.

Mods are so much cheaper today. I say; mod early and often

Isnt a k&n genuine air intake system like only 150 ?

Well, I've had the "EBAY unit" installed for a few weeks and so far, so good. I can't tell you if my butt dyno feels anything because I did a bunch of things to the car and it's purring now (well, actually growling because i have a magnaflow cat back)

that intake is probably fine and will work awsome !! just to back my previous post up you can get a k&n cold air intake from this site for 195 bucks heres the link for it .. i thought it was like 150 but 30 bucks off this guys got good prices on anything he sells .... https://securehost98.hrwebservices.n...;productId=126
