Air lid or flowmaster?
I have a 1998 z28. It is all stock, but I just got a k&n high flow air filter for it. I was going to get the flowmaster super 44 muffler (not entire system)for it, but then heard I may be better off with the SLP air lid. I was wondering if anyone has done any of these or had any ideas which one I should get. Thanks.
an slp lid will help you get more air in there, try to see if you can find a slp cold air intake lid.Flowmasters will sound good thats about it, they dont flow well at all, unless youre talking about their single in single out race muffler.
Thats what I was thinking, I just got done talking to someone and they said that they actually lost power with the flowmaster. The only problem with the cold air is that they are more likely to collect water and bog down.
The slp kit is not a cold air intake its still a lid but with a pan to direct air up from the front of the car into the lid.
Ok, I think that I have decided to get a SLP air lid for my 1998 z28. I found somewhere that sells just the lid. I was wondering if the installation will take any otherparts, or if the lid is all that I need to purchase. I know this is probably a dumb question, but I just want to make sure before I buy it and go to install it.
