Default cat back exhaust LS1

I just bought a Borla cat back for my Z. I know they're really expensive but i know a guy so i got a sweet deal, still spent a lot though. My question is, is borla really worth the money or should i have spent less on a cheaper brand? Also how much horsepower on average does a cat back give to an LS1? The website says as much as 10% but that would be 30 horsepower and that seems a little much for a cat back.
