The Volant is really has no advantages over other intakes and lids, unless you have a Trans Am WS6. The SS hood will make no difference since the traveling air hits the front of the car then doesn't hit it again until the windshield, totally missing the SS hood's scoop. I would just get a lid and a high flow filter.
