Question Brand of intakes

I have been looking at the different brands of intake.... First off does anyone know if there are any "tube style" cold air intakes for a 2002 LS1? or if it is all just the box in the front. Second does anyone have any knowledge of the Volant brand? Should I just go with the the SLP?? Any ideas?

I would go with the SLP Flowpac, personally.

The FloPac that comes with the Cold Air Induction kit? Should I get that whole kit that comes with the SLP lid and k & n or can I just get the lid and filter alone?

I've read that the Camaro's intake flows well also and I've changed my opinion. Personally, I would get a lid and a K&N filter.

Ok, should one get an slp smooth bellow? One more thing buffalo, do you know if the '01 and '02 ls1 may have come equipped with the ls6 intake manifold.

A smooth bellow I've read is not worth it, but if you want one, I'd get a cheap after market one from Ebay. The SLP one is too expensive. Yes, the 2001 and 2002 years came with the LS6 intake manifold.

There was a LS6 motor in 2002 and was offered in the top of the line 'Vette, the ZO6. The base model 'Vette still came with a LS1 just like the Z28 and the SS. The LS9 is what is used now in the new 'Vette ZR1.

i just bought a 1999 z28 and had a few questions about intakes myself. are the volant air intakes worth the money? also, i have a stock hood and am thinking about getting the SS hood. does the heat extractor on those hoods work well and will it make any difference with a new cold air intake? i appreciate it
