Default 40 series on a V6

Hey guys, i had a 383 stroker with dual 40 series and now i want to use at least one of these 40 series for my 2002 v6 camaro. Is it ok to mount the 40 series flowmaster side ways...??? The muffler is a 3 inch inlet and outlet. I have a welder and am pretty sufficient at welding, never done exhaust though. Do you think this 40 series on my v6 camaro is possible?

on a V6 it will sound like total crap. just a bunch of noise and the car won't even be moving. may as well buy an import and put one of those fartcans on it. you want your exhaust to compliment your engine sound, not drown it out

just my opinion
