Hello, I have a 93 Z28. I have been running a single 3 inch exhaust with Hooker Super Comp Headers and Super 10 single chamber Flowmaster. I was happy with the set up but wanted more. I recently ordered the 4 inch Mufflex exhaust system with the Spintech race muffler. I just had it installed. I love the sound, It's no actually louder than the super 10 series Flowmaster but it sounds deeper and I can feel the improvement in performance and horsepower but as soon as the RPM reaches 3000 the engine dies down. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks, Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, thanks but I haven't checked the codes. I just got it back from the shop Tuesday night and haven't had a chance to check it since. I wanted some advice before checking it today.

Thanks, I messed with it for hours today before finding the problem. My MSD 6AL box was malfunctioning. I had the Rev Limiter set at 5,000 RPM for daily driving but for some reason the Rev Limiter was kicking in at 3,000 RPM. Now I can finally enjoy my new exhaust :-)
