Default Question on 2018 Camaro SS Electric Exhaust

Hey folks,
I just bought my first Camaro, and love the car, previously a Corvette owner. My question is, the exhaust is very loud, which I like and my wife does not. I believe the exhaust has the electric open/close feature, but I cannot seem to locate how to operate it. Can anybody guide me on this?
Thanks very much!
Mark

I do not own one but I was under the impression is the exhaust sound was tired to the mode you are in. Track/Sport mode loud, Tour mode quiet.

That assumes the car still has the stock exhaust. If your BCM logs keys (like seat position) you can save a default mode.

The exhaust sound doesn't change from mode to mode. I'm pretty certain it has the electric gates that can be opened ore closed. I believe it's in the settings menu somewhere, I just need to find it.

Well if you disconnect the battery and press the brake it will reset all saved parameter back to factory configuration. The modes should work then. I looked up the mode options and right under tour it says quiet exhaust.

You could have a issue with the the exhaust, relays or someone swapped out to a performance exhaust. Of course the PCM could have been reprogrammed but I can not imagine changing the tour mode unless an aftermarket cam was installed.

Talking Exhaust noise

I just installed Rotofab and Magna-flow Axle back kit on my '23 LT-1 - no variable exhaust system.

However, it can be ferociously loud depending on the position of your right foot

I bought my other half a set of Bose noise cancelling earbuds.

Now it's all quiet on the Western Front.
