Default Who knows cars here?!?!?!?

Compressor not kickin in.....

Added one bottle of r134 on a 1999 Camaro. Compressor not kicking in still. Didn't want to over charge.Never had a problem with it. 140k miles. Runs great.Above average condition for year model.
(NOTE: Compressor turned on after I added r134. I turned it off for the night. Not working now.)

Whats up?!?!?!

Did you drain the tank first before adding more R134?

ok folks time to stop backyarding here and get educated on the system were attempting to repair. ac refrigerent doesnt magicly disappear(you may still have plenty in the system) if it is gone theres obviously a leak which will need repair or you will continue to literally throw money at it. yes sometimes simply topping off the refrigerent will make the system work again for awhile but if it doesnt you have other problems that will have to be addressed.

if you dont have ac gauges and dont know how to use them i highly suggest you take it to someone who does. the reciever/drier will need to be replaced over time, proper oil level (yes oil in the ac system) and a proper evacuation and leak check are almost necessities along with the gauges to repair the ac system kurt

The compressors on those are good for leaking from the seals between the ends and the middle section. Look for dirt that has been stuck and is dark from moisture. That will show a sign of leakage. Also adding a can does not always help. You do not know how much is missing.
